Privacy Policy
By SupperScout Editorial Team · Updated October 5, 2026
Last updated: October 5, 2026.
SupperScout is designed to collect as little as possible. There are no accounts, no logins, no email signups, and no personal profiles.
What we do NOT collect
- No name, email address, phone number, or account identifiers.
- No ingredient history tied to you — we don't build a profile of what you cook.
- No location data, no device fingerprinting.
- No third-party advertising trackers, no social media pixels.
What we DO collect (anonymous)
- Aggregate usage counters: how many recipes were generated, how often the tool is opened, whether validation regenerated a recipe. These are plain numbers with a date — they cannot identify you.
- Rate-limiting records: a count of generations per IP address per day, kept only to enforce the daily limit and prevent abuse. These expire automatically.
- Approximate API cost accounting: estimated model usage totals used to enforce the monthly budget cap. No per-user breakdown.
What stays in your browser
Recipes you save and your recent-ingredient shortcuts are stored in your own browser's localStorage. They never leave your device, and we cannot see them. Clearing your browser data deletes them permanently.
Cookies
SupperScout does not set tracking cookies. The site works fully without any cookies.
AI processing
When you generate a recipe, your ingredient list and constraints are sent to Google's Gemini API to produce the recipe text. Google's API data practices apply to that request; we do not send any identifier with it. See our AI Usage & Content Policy.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date above will change and the change will be noted here. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
